Job summary

World Vision is seeking a Field & Emergency Communications Specialist for the Mindanao Field Office in Davao City. You will gather, develop and deliver evidence-based, child- and community-focused content that highlights issues facing vulnerable children and families and supports humanitarian programming.

You will collaborate with internal teams, use WV content platforms to coordinate with partners and deliver timely media materials, and travel within the country as needed to accompany media and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Development of Mass Communications/Journalism or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a similar position.
• Experience with NGO humanitarian work, especially during disasters or emergencies, preferred.
• Strong analytic, reporting and presentation abilities.
• Excellent media engagement skills and ability to face the camera.
• Willingness and ability to travel to World Vision area programmes within the country.

Responsibilities

• Gathering field and emergency communications content to support ministry, public engagement and resource development goals.
• Utilizing World Vision content platforms to coordinate with relevant clients and deliver raw content (QA, alerts, stories, videos, photos, visits).
• Providing support to and collaborating with Operations (Field Office), HEA and Resource Development to gather ministry and fundraising-related content.
• Assisting the Field & Emergency Communications Officer in dealing with field content and DRR/ emergency communications concerns and other related duties.
