Job summary

New Asia Oil Inc. is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage purchasing and supply of copra and related materials for the Baganga buying station.

You will ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting station targets in volume, efficiency, and profitability. The role requires 1–3 years in procurement or supply chain, with a focus on supplier negotiation, copra quality standards, and field‑based work in Baganga, Davao Oriental.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, agribusiness, agriculture, supply chain management or related field.
• 1–3 years in procurement, trading or supply chain operations.
• Background in agriculture or copra trading preferred.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and copra quality standards.
• Analytical ability for pricing and market trends.
• Effective communication in Cebuano/Bisaya and English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and onboard new copra suppliers (farmers, traders, cooperatives).
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers to ensure continuous supply.
• Conduct supplier assessments and compliance checks.
• Execute daily procurement activities in line with company policies.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Ensure timely purchase orders and accurate documentation.
• Monitor local market trends and competitor buying rates.
• Recommend procurement strategies and competitive pricing.
• Provide regular updates on supply availability and market conditions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure purchased copra meets standards.
• Enforce quality guidelines on moisture, contamination and drying.
• Handle supplier non‑compliance and rejection processes.
• Prepare daily/weekly procurement reports and supplier performance updates.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts and supplier databases.
• Build partnerships with local farmer groups, cooperatives, and barangay officials.
• Represent the company in community meetings and industry activities.
• Support supplier incentive programs and loyalty initiatives.
