Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to perform field-level overhaul and repair of heavy and light vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. You will diagnose faults, repair components, and conduct test drives using diagnostic equipment.

Work involves outdoor conditions, PPE, and adherence to military performance specifications. A high school diploma and an automotive apprenticeship are preferred, with licenses and experience as described.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Apprenticeship in Light/Heavy Automobile Repair preferred.
Must have country of origin driver license; ability to obtain US Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Philippines Heavy Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Perform full range of repair and modification work on heavy/light vehicles powered by internal combustion engines.
Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
Troubleshoot faults in equipment systems and subsystems.
Test drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic devices.
Repair, relines, replaces, or adjusts components as needed.
Follow checklists to ensure inspection of belts, hoses, steering systems, and other parts.
Follow repair procedures using charts and manuals.
Test and adjust repaired systems to meet military specs.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear with precision tools.
