CHINA CONSTRUCTION FRONT GEN. DEVT. CORP. is seeking a Contracts Manager in the Philippines to lead FIDIC-based contract administration across multi-project portfolios.
You will review terms, prepare documentation, manage variations and disputes, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while coordinating with project management, engineering, procurement, and finance teams. Strong communication and risk analysis skills are essential.
Manage and administer FIDIC contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, from pre-contract negotiations to project completion and final account settlement
Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with all contractual terms, conditions, and specifications across construction projects
Prepare and issue contract documentation, variation orders, and change management notices in accordance with FIDIC standards
Monitor contractor performance against contractual requirements and agreed timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
Manage contractual disputes, claims, and variations, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve fair and timely resolutions
Maintain comprehensive contract documentation, records, and correspondence, ensuring all communications are properly archived and traceable
Coordinate between project management, engineering, procurement, and financial teams to ensure smooth contract execution and project delivery
Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Prepare contract-related reports, progress updates, and financial statements for senior management and project stakeholders
Support tender processes and contract negotiations to protect the company's commercial interests
Minimum 3–6 years' professional experience in construction contracts management, with substantial exposure to FIDIC contract forms
Proven expertise in FIDIC Red Book contract conditions and their practical application
Strong understanding of construction law, contractual obligations, risk allocation, and dispute resolution mechanisms
Excellent knowledge of variation management, claims administration, and final account preparation
Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-peso construction projects with complex contractual frameworks
Advanced proficiency in contract management software and tools; experience with project management systems is highly advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex contractual matters clearly to diverse stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills
Professional qualification such as FIDIC Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent recognised certification is preferred
Experience in the Philippine construction industry or familiarity with local building codes and regulations is advantageous
