Job summary

Advanced Energy in the Philippines seeks a Failure Analysis Technician I to support semiconductor FA activities, interpret drawings, and generate detailed reports on failure locations and root causes.

You will collaborate with QA, Design Engineering, Operations and suppliers to drive corrective actions, utilize diverse FA equipment, and contribute to ongoing improvements in failure analysis techniques while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or BS degree in engineering or related field
• 3–5 years semiconductor Failure Analysis experience
• Hands-on lab experience with FA equipment
• Familiarity with FA tools such as X-ray, SEM-EDX, FTIR, CSAM, cross-section machines, microscopes
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong report/presentation skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review FA requests, interpret drawings and specs, plan FA steps
• Perform failure analysis to identify location and root cause
• Generate detailed FA reports meeting customer requirements
• Utilize FA equipment and methods for analysis
• Collaborate with QA, Design Eng, Operations and suppliers
• Contribute to problem solving and corrective actions
• Develop and improve FA techniques and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with industry standards
