onsemi is seeking a Failure Analysis Operator (JG3) in the Philippines. You will perform EVI, X-ray, and SAT inspections, prepare samples for ATE verification, and assist with administrative tasks related to samples and lab supplies.

The role requires basic analytical skills, familiarity with semiconductor lab tools, and adherence to cleanroom safety protocols. Strong data logging and reporting using MS Office are beneficial.

• Archive completed requests and maintain KGU database in the laboratory.
• Conduct daily 5S activities and participate in PAL area audits.
• Follow safety protocols when handling lab tools, chemicals, and equipment.
• Communicate inspection findings clearly with engineers and team members.

Job Description

Failure Analysis Operator (JG3)

Responsibilities

• Supports in performing analytical services such as External Visual Inspection (EVI), X-ray, Scanning Acoustic Tomography (SAT) inspection.
• Prepares and cleans samples/packages to ensure they are suitable for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) verification.
• Assists with administrative tasks, including withdrawal and shipment of samples or laboratory supplies.
• Handles request processing, including acceptance/update in the system, SAT report generation, system closure, and creation of basic material analysis reports when required.
• Maintains organized archiving of completed requests, ensure proper safekeeping and updating of KGU database in the laboratory.
• Conducts daily 5S activities at assigned workstations and actively participate in weekly audits within the Product Analysis Laboratory (PAL) area.
• Understands and follows safety protocols in handling laboratory tools, chemicals, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicates effectively with engineers and other team members, providing clear documentation and feedback on inspection results or collected data.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Sr. Highschool and or technical vocational course, preferably in electronics, mechanical technology, or related field.
• Entry level applicants are welcome; however, prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom operations is an advantage.
• Demonstrates basic analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to follow standard operating procedures in semiconductor failure analysis.
• Skilled in using inspection and analysis tools commonly found in semiconductor labs, including optical microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), Scanning Acoustic Tomography (SAT), and X-ray systems.
• Knowledgeable in cleanroom protocols and safety procedures, ensuring safe handling of sensitive devices, chemicals, and equipment in compliance with industry standards.
• Proficient in basic computer operations, including Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data logging, reporting, and presentation preparation.
