Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment (Philippines) Inc in Pasig is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to drive product quality through fault reproduction, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of customer-returned products.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and support teams on multiple product platforms, prepare detailed technical reports, and propose corrective actions. Proficiency with lab equipment and English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in failure analysis, troubleshooting, or power electronics.
• Working knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC topologies (flyback, forward, etc.).
• Proficient with lab test equipment and measurements.
• Strong analytical and root-cause investigation skills.
• Experience with high-voltage debugging is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE) development is desirable.
• Knowledge of Python or LabVIEW is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault reproduction, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of customer-returned products.
• Investigate complex product failures and drive resolutions using structured methods.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and support teams across product platforms.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Suggest corrective and preventive actions based on analysis.
• Participate in new product qualification to support ramp-up.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, and EMI analyzers for testing.
• Contribute to reliability improvement via failure trend analysis.
• Assist in automated test solutions for failure verification.
• Maintain documentation of investigations and actions; ensure quality standards.
