Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, general handyperson work, or a related maintenance role.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements, preferably SOIII.
• Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment, power tools, and maintenance machinery safely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work with a focus on safety.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing.
• Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, or related fields are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance tasks including repairs, replacements, and servicing of equipment, machinery, and facility systems
• Conducting regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify and report maintenance issues before they become major problems
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across all facility areas, including offices, production areas, restrooms, and common spaces
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff members, troubleshooting issues and providing timely solutions
• Performing basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as required, with adherence to safety standards
• Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and materials used
• Ensuring all facility areas comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively
• Supporting the setup and breakdown of facilities for events, meetings, and special activities
• Collaborating with external contractors and service providers when specialist maintenance is needed
