Job summary

EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in ophthalmic lenses and eyewear, seeks a Facilities Engineer to maintain a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient physical environment. You will work at the intersection of engineering, operations, and compliance, ensuring facilities support core activities with minimal downtime.

You will lead preventive maintenance, monitor systems, manage projects, drive energy efficiency, and oversee contractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities maintenance or engineering, preferably in precision manufacturing.
• Experience with HVAC, compressed air, cooling, and water treatment systems.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage preventive maintenance programs and capital projects.
• Background in contractor oversight and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance & Asset Management – planning and implementing maintenance schedules, using predictive technologies to prevent failures, and managing asset lifecycles to minimize downtime and costs.
• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting – continuously monitoring facility systems, responding to equipment issues, and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
• Safety & Compliance – ensuring building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards are met through inspections, audits, and proper documentation.
• Project Management & Facility Upgrades – leading infrastructure projects, managing budgets and timelines, and integrating new technologies to enhance facility performance.
• Energy & Sustainability Management – driving energy-efficiency initiatives and supporting environmental goals.
• Vendor & Contractor Management – coordinating external service providers, managing contracts, and ensuring quality work.
• Documentation & Reporting – maintaining records of maintenance activities and system performance for management.
• Emergency Response & Risk Management – managing emergencies and developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
