Mission - Purpose of the job
Act as the primary EHS partner for Site Leadership teams across multiplesites in GC Rx Domestic Organization, ensuring the effective implementation of Environmental, Health, Safety and Loss Prevention requirements in daily operations.
- Drive a strong EHS culture through visible field presence, practical support and close collaboration with operations teams to:Implement Group EHS policies, standards, insurance requirements and the Eyes On The Planet program across assigned sites.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, operating permits, internal standards and management systems.
- Identify, assess and reduce environmental, health, safety and property risks through proactive prevention and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support sites in achieving EHS performance objectives and maintaining a safe, compliant and sustainable operating environment.
- Provide hands‑on guidance and technical expertise to site management teams for the resolution of operational EHS challenges and the implementation of effective risk reduction measures.
Key Responsibilities Main Missions and Activities
- Deploy and monitor the implementation of Group EHS standards, policies, insurance requirements and sustainability initiatives across assigned sites.
- Conduct regular site visits, workplace inspections, compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify hazards, verify implementation of EHS requirements and drive corrective actions.
- Support sites in maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, Permits and Corporate requirements, including management of corrective action plans.
- Lead or support investigations of incidents, injuries, environmental events, near misses and significant findings, ensuring robust root cause analysis and timely closure of corrective actions.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support to site management teams on EHS matters, including risk assessments, machine safety, chemical management, contractor safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene and loss prevention.
- Coordinate and participate in internal audits, insurance inspections, regulatory inspections
- Track, analyze and communicate EHS performance indicators, incidents, audit results and compliance metrics to support site leadership decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Support the development and execution of site EHS action plans, risk reduction projects and capital improvement initiatives required to improve safety, environmental performance and regulatory compliance.
- Drive practical initiatives to reduce energy consumption, water usage, waste generation and environmental impacts in alignment with Group sustainability objectives.
- Deliver EHS training, coaching and awareness programs to supervisors, managers and employees, strengthening ownership and accountability throughout the organization.
- Ensure timely reporting and escalation of significant EHS events, incidents, regulatory issues and emerging risks to management and Corporate EHS functions.
- Facilitate the sharing of lessons learned, safety alerts and best practices among sites to promote standardization and continuous improvement.
- Support site leaders in the establishment, follow‑up and review of annual EHS objectives and improvement plans.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manitenance, Facilities, Operations, Quality, Human Resources, Procurement and other functions to ensure EHS requirements are incorporated into projects, equipment installations, process changes and operational activities.
- Support emergency preparedness and business continuity activities, including participation in crisis response, drills and emergency management processes.
- Develop and maintain a network of local EHS representatives and key operational stakeholders to reinforce EHS engagement, communication and effectiveness across all assigned sites.
Key Performance Indicators
- Improvement of Scope EHS metrics - such as for injury (frequency rate, corrective actions,...) and for environment (water, energy, waste,…) - on line with multi‑annual roadmaps and objectives.
- Closure of non‑conformities in regard to any non‑compliances related to EHS Regulations / Internal Audits / External Audits.
