Job summary

Austal Philippines Pty Limited in Balamban, Cebu, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead tradesmen in safe, high-quality shipbuilding work, ensuring tasks meet plans, budgets, and schedules.

You will plan daily/weekly work, conduct toolbox talks, monitor labour and materials, and coach the team while upholding Austal's values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in shipbuilding or manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, planning and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of health, safety and first aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Purpose of the Role:

The Production Supervisor leads and motivates tradesmen to safely deliver high-quality work that meets project plans and standards. This role ensures that work is executed efficiently, on time, and in full alignment with budget, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement daily/weekly task plans aligned with production goals.
• Lead toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with HSE protocols (JSEA, PPE, Permits).
• Monitor labour and material usage, reduce rework, and promote cost-efficient operations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Track team skills and performance and implement coaching and corrective actions as needed.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and Austal's values across the department.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate of any relevant course or degree. (Trade course is an advantage.)
• At least 3 years Supervisory experience in trade-specific shipbuilding or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on technical know-how in trade-specific drawing interpretation.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and first aid (preferred).
