Job summary

Our Clients in Makati is seeking an External Audit Senior Associate to support Australian audits and lead engagements from planning to completion.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days on-site during busy seasons) and coordinate with Australian managers and Partners to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. Strong English communication and CPA/CaseWare experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• 3–5 years of external audit experience, preferably from a professional services firm.
• Strong IFRS/AASB and international auditing standards knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage a small team and own an audit file from planning to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication with international stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet external deadlines.
• Based in Metro Manila with a hybrid Makati schedule (3 days on-site, or per busy season).
• CPA board passer and/or prior CaseWare auditing experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Help Australian managers and Partners oversee and execute external audit engagements, reviews, and compilations tailored for the Australian market.
• Handle high-risk or complex audit areas (such as valuations, intricate revenue recognition, or consolidations) with minimal supervision.
• Support Australian offshore engagement managers and partners to clarify audit findings and streamline information flow.
• Ensure all work papers meet Australian Auditing Standards and quality benchmarks using CaseWare.
• Manage timelines and resource allocation for assigned engagements to ensure 100% on-time delivery during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy.
• 3-5 years of solid experience in external audits, preferably from an accounting or professional services firm.
• Deep understanding of IFRS/AASB and international auditing standards.
• Proven ability to manage a small team and take full ownership of an audit file from planning to completion.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to present findings to international stakeholders.
• Strong professional skepticism and the ability to identify systemic financial discrepancies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, pioneer environment and handle the pressure of Australian tax/audit deadlines.
• Based in Metro Manila and willing to work a hybrid schedule in Makati City (3 days on-site, or as required during busy season).
• Ability to start immediately.
