Job summary

Our Clients is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join our growing Accounting Advisory Firm, supporting Australian clients across various industries. This role offers the opportunity to lead audit engagements, work with Australian accounting and auditing standards, and collaborate with international clients while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy is required.
• CPA or Non-CPA candidates are welcome to apply.
• Minimum 3 years of external audit experience, preferably with Australian clients.
• Experience handling Australian audit engagements is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASA, AASB, IFRS and reporting requirements.
• Experience using audit software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements for Australian clients from planning to completion.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments and substantive testing; evaluate controls.
• Ensure compliance with ASA and AASB standards and reporting requirements.
• Identify audit issues and propose practical solutions.
• Coordinate with Australian clients and teams to meet deadlines.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit associates.
• Assist managers and partners in audit reports and findings.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy

• Perform and lead audit engagements for Australian clients from planning to completion.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments, substantive testing, analytical review procedures, and internal control evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Auditing Standards (ASA), Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), and applicable financial reporting requirements.
• Identify audit issues and recommend practical solutions to clients.
• Coordinate directly with Australian clients and engagement teams to ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior audit associates.
• Assist managers and partners in preparing audit reports and communicating engagement findings.
• Ensure audit documentation complies with firm policies and professional standards.
