Job summary

VRI Crew is seeking an Audit Partner to lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion. You will supervise staff, review plans and working papers, assess risks, and coordinate with specialists and client teams across engagements.

The role involves overseeing budgets, billing, site visits, and timely delivery of reports, while ensuring independence and compliance with standards. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion
  • Prepare, review, and approve audit plans, programs, and working papers
  • Assess audit risks and tailor audit procedures and staffing plans accordingly
  • Oversee daily engagement operations, including budgets, WIP, billing, collections, and variance analysis
  • Ensure audit engagements are properly coordinated, including the use of specialists and support teams
  • Conduct site visits to provide adequate supervision and ensure proper client protocols are followed
  • Review financial statements, audit reports, income tax returns, and other deliverables prior to partner sign-off
  • Ensure audit documentation is complete, properly reviewed, and archived within prescribed timelines
  • Identify issues, risks, and areas for improvement in clients’ business processes and prepare management letters with recommendations
  • Communicate significant matters and proposed resolutions to the Senior Manager or Audit Partner
  • Lead or assist in client and engagement meetings as required
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor engagement in-charges and staff assistants
  • Provide timely performance feedback and complete Performance Review Reports (PRRs)
  • Participate in annual performance evaluations and staff development discussions
  • Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client meetings
  • Assist in pursuing new engagements and managing receivables
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission and approval of time reports, expenses, and overtime
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including interviewing and recommending candidates
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients while ensuring independence and compliance with ethical standards
  • Keep clients informed of developments in accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager or Audit Partner
