Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, 1–2 years of external audit experience, and knowledge of PFRS and IFRS. CPA is an advantage; CaseWare experience is a plus. Strong communication is essential.

Role Overview

The External Audit Associate is responsible for supporting audit engagements through the performance of audit procedures, review of financial information, preparation of audit documentation, and completion of assigned audit work within established timelines. The role works with engagement teams and clients and provides exposure to local and international audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Perform external audit procedures, including compilations, reviews, and other assigned audit work.
• Review financial information and supporting documents to assess accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Complete assigned audit sections and document audit findings using audit methodologies and software such as CaseWare.
• Coordinate with offshore engagement teams and clients to obtain information and address audit requirements.
• Manage assigned tasks and complete audit work within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and complete audit documentation with minimal revisions.
• Handle client and engagement information with professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related fields
• At least 1-2 years of external audit experience, preferably gained from an accounting or audit firms.
• Knowledge of PFRS and IFRS.
• CPA is an advantage.
