We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, Fraud & Scams Technology to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of technology solutions that protect our customers and business from fraud and scams.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving innovation across fraud detection, prevention, and investigation technologies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise security standards. The successful candidate will lead geographically distributed teams and partner closely with technology, operations, security, and business leaders to deliver scalable, high-performing fraud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Fraud & Scams Technology.
• Lead the design, development, and operation of fraud detection and prevention platforms.
• Drive innovation through AI, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging fraud technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and internal policies.
• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing global technology teams.
• Manage technology vendors and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee platform performance, operational support, service resilience, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior executives, architecture teams, fraud operations, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
• Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, platform transformation, and integration of new technologies.

What You'll Bring

Required Experience

• 15+ years of experience in technology leadership within banking, payments, fintech, e-commerce, or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong expertise in fraud prevention, fraud detection, scams management, or financial crime technology.
• Proven track record leading large-scale technology transformation programs.
• Experience managing large teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, vendor management, and technology operations.Experience delivering highly available, large-scale transactional platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification (Master's degree or equivalent) is an advantage.
