  • Prepare and analyse monthly results, variances versus budget and forecast, and provide clear explanations (volume, mix, price, cost, productivity, scrap, overheads).
  • Build and maintain detailed dashboards and KPIs (conversion cost per unit, labor productivity, material variances, scrap and rework, overhead absorption) and animate regular performance reviews with the Plant Manager and functional managers.

  • Ensure accurate allocation of overheads and fixed costs to products, work centers and cost centers, in line with group controlling rules.
4. Industrial and Commercial Decision Support
  • Support the assessment of new business opportunities and RFQs impacting the León plant by providing margin simulations, break-even analyses and sensitivity analyses.
  • Contribute to make-or-buy decisions, localization options and transfers of production, evaluating their financial consequences on the plant.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Purchasing to assess the financial impact of logistics schemes, supplier changes and stock policies.

  • Support the Regional CFO and the Plant Manager in building business cases for plant-level CAPEX (machines, tools, automation, layout changes), providing cost and payback estimates.
  • Ensure proper tracking of CAPEX spending, capitalization and depreciation at plant level, and monitor the realization of expected savings and productivity gains.
  • Participate in post‑implementation reviews to compare actual results with initial business cases and to feed continuous improvement of investment decisions.
6. Reporting, Compliance and Internal Control
  • Guarantee the quality and timeliness of all plant-related financial data feeding the regional and group reporting (monthly closing, flash reports, KPIs).
  • Coordinate with the regional accounting and shared services teams to ensure proper booking of accruals, provisions, inventory valuation and fixed assets for the León site.
  • Contribute to internal control at plant level: application of procedures, segregation of duties, correctness of cycle counts and stock reconciliations, and support for audits.
7. Business Partner to the Plant
  • Act as a close sparring partner to the Plant Manager, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and HR, explaining financial impacts in operational terms and helping them to prioritise actions.
  • Be present on the shopfloor to understand processes, constraints and improvement opportunities, and to make finance tangible and meaningful for non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of cost awareness and performance mindset across the plant, through regular communication, simple tools and accessible explanations.
