Job summary

Shopee is seeking a finance professional in Brazil to manage end-to-end reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis for local operations. You will support AP/AR/Treasury, ensure internal controls, and liaise with auditors while bridging Local GAAP with US GAAP.

The role requires a strong Excel/Office skill set and advanced English, with a degree in Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration. You will join a growing finance team offering exposure to Brazil's e-commerce market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reporting, including preparing, reviewing, and reconciling data.
• Perform account variance analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Support daily AP, AR, and Treasury processes for local operations.
• Ensure internal controls compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare accounting obligations and ancillary declarations (ECD, Censo, Bacen, RDE).
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Bridge Local GAAP with US GAAP.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and activities.
• Collaborate within a growing, dynamic team.

What your day-to-day will loo like:

• Work autonomously being responsible for the reporting, preparing, and reviewing reconciliations (end to end)
• Account variance analysis for reporting purposes (Month to Month, Year to Year, and explanations)
• Support daily to AP, AR, and Treasury functions, ensuring efficient and accurate finance processes for all local operations
• Assist in ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements
• Work autonomously on the preparation of accounting obligations and ancillary declarations (ECD, Censo, Bacen, RDE, etc)
• Interface with internal and external auditors
• Bridge Local x US GAAP
• Work autonomously being responsible for improvements in accounting processes and activities, making them more efficient
• Assist in ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements
• Ability to work in a collaborative team and work in a growing and dynamic environment.

Requirements
