Job summary

ResponsibleUs seeks an ESG Data Analyst to build and maintain a core ESG dataset across its power-sector operations. You will pull emissions, safety, and community-impact numbers from plant-level reports and external slides into a single, auditable source.

You will produce lender- and investor-facing reports on a strict schedule, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. On-site work in Mumbai or Hyderabad may be required with occasional travel to plants.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of ESG, sustainability, or environmental research and reporting experience.
• Ability to work from messy, plant-level source data rather than clean feeds.
• Familiarity with at least one ESG disclosure framework.
• Strong written English for lender/investor-facing materials.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to plant sites for data verification.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the core ESG dataset across plants (emissions, safety, community impact).
• Consolidate data from plant-level reports and external consultants into a single dataset.
• Turn data into reporting for lenders and investors on a scheduled basis.

A power-sector company with a growing renewables portfolio has a problem most of its lenders and a couple of large investors keep raising: it cannot yet produce clean, consistent ESG data on its own operations when asked. The numbers exist, scattered across plant-level reports and a sustainability consultant's slide decks from two years ago, but nobody owns pulling them into one place on an ongoing basis.

That is the job. You would build and maintain the company's core ESG dataset, covering emissions, safety, and community-impact numbers across its plants, and turn that into the reporting its lenders and investors actually want to see, on a schedule instead of a scramble.
