Job summary

Jade Solutions and Management Services Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and carry out repairs in a manufacturing setting.

You will document maintenance activities, coordinate with teams, and ensure equipment reliability and safety. Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Equipment Technician or similar maintenance role in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
• Strong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance procedures and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics and maintenance documentation.

Job description

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and servicing of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliable operation

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify root causes of failures

• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, parts and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards

• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records to track equipment history and schedule preventative maintenance

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests to minimise downtime and operational disruption

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, adjustment and calibration of equipment

• Test repaired equipment to verify functionality and ensure it meets safety and performance standards before returning to service

• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and share technical knowledge

• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations and procedures whilst performing maintenance tasks

• Maintain a clean and organised work environment and properly store tools and materials

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an Equipment Technician or in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or semiconductor company

• Strong technical knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance procedures and troubleshooting methodologies

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment and hand and power tools

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics and maintenance documentation

• Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how they interact

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues systematically

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate maintenance records and quality repairs

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication skills to report on maintenance status and collaborate with colleagues

• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items, work in various positions and perform manual tasks

• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in equipment maintenance are highly desirable

• Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling and asset management systems is preferred
