Qualifications

Acciona is currently seeking an Environmental Officer for the South Commuter Railway Project in Manila, Metro Manila.

The Environmental Officer supports the ACDM-JV Environmental Deputy Manager in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental management practices across the project site. The role ensures compliance with the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), Construction Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (CEMMP), and relevant regulatory requirements through effective monitoring, reporting, and coordination.

Job Description

• Assist ACDM-JV Environmental Deputy Manager
• Identifyand assess environmental aspects;
• Provide daily update and support to Environmental Deputy Manager in achieving environmental targets, which should match the current CEMMP;
• Implement applicable environmental measures;
• Maintain records for environmental inspections and monitoring;
• Maintain environmental controls,materialsand equipment;
• Assistinmaintainingenvironmental monitoring through EMS documents, with the object ofmonitoringthe environmental performance;
• Maintaining andmonitoring environmental permits and in place prior start of construction of ancillary facilities and related plants;
• Conduct environmental training to ACDM-JV team and Sub-contractor to be oriented with the ECC Conditions as requirements prior to deployment on site.
• Perform daily site visits for the implementation of the monitoring program in their respective areas;
• Conducts internal and coordinates regulatory required environmental monitoring such as water quality monitoring, air quality, environmental noise monitoring and vibration level monitoring in sensitive receptor impact zones and historical structures;
• Report to the Environment Supervisor on the findings on site;
• Help the Environment Supervisor in fulfilling environmental reports, providing the necessary information;
• Identifysignificant environmental aspects and impacts of the construction activities and recommend mitigation measures;
• Monitor compliance to the requirements specified in the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and the commitments stipulated in the CEMMP.

Required Skills and Competencies

• At least 3 year of related experience, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Completed training in BOSH, OSHC, or equivalent occupational safety and health programs.
• Preferably a trained Pollution Control Officer (PCO).
