Job summary

AMIGOS CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT INC is seeking an Environmental Officer to monitor and ensure compliance with ECC and environmental requirements, and to implement the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) on our projects in Metro Manila.

The role involves preparing and submitting environmental reports to DENR/EMB, conducting site inspections, managing waste streams, and coordinating with DENR/EMB, HSE, and project teams to address environmental issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with the project's ECC and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and submit required environmental reports to DENR/EMB.
• Conduct regular environmental inspections and monitoring at the project site.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
• Implement the project's Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
• Ensure compliance with requirements related to water quality, wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, and pollution prevention.
• Coordinate with DENR/EMB and other relevant government agencies when necessary.
• Maintain complete and updated environmental records and documentation.
• Conduct environmental awareness orientations and toolbox meetings for workers.
• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the HSE/Safety, Construction, and Project Management teams to address environmental concerns.
• Monitor environmental impacts associated with floating solar construction and installation activities.
• Assist during environmental inspections, audits, and government monitoring activities.
