Job summary

CallTek, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level IT Security Analyst in Cebu City to review security alerts from Wazuh, Bitdefender, and other tools. You will validate context, inspect logs, and gather evidence while following approved response procedures.

The role works under the IT Security Manager, handling initial incident analysis, containment support, and remediation verification with attention to detail and confidentiality. Strong written and oral communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Zero to two years of experience in IT support, desktop support, system administration, networking, NOC, SOC, managed services, or cybersecurity operations.
• Basic IT knowledge: Windows endpoints, hardware, applications, user accounts, permissions, file systems, services, remote support, patching, networking concepts.
• Basic security knowledge: malware, phishing, endpoint protection, logs, vulnerabilities, patching, least privilege, incident-response basics.
• Ability to read alerts and logs, follow procedures, document findings clearly, escalate when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, integrity, and handling sensitive information.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Alert Queue Monitoring: Review alerts, acknowledge promptly, prevent aging events without ownership.
• Initial Incident Analysis: Gather facts from logs, ticket history, assets, and tools to form assessments.
• Affected Equipment Inspection: Perform remote or physical inspection using approved checklists and safety precautions.
• Evidence Collection and Preservation: Capture evidence to support escalation, remediation, and audits.
• Incident Classification and Escalation: Apply severity matrix and escalate to incident lead.
• Authorized Containment Support: Carry out only approved containment actions and report issues.
• Remediation Verification: Confirm scans, updates, quarantines, patches achieved expected results.
• Tool Coverage and Health Review: Identify inactive agents, outdated components, gaps, or policy mismatches.
• Ticketing and Reporting: Keep precise records; separate facts from assessments.
• Policy, Privacy, Access Compliance: Use privileges appropriately and comply with retention requirements.
• Process Improvement Support: Identify repeat alerts and training needs; submit improvement recommendations.
