Job summary

BillEase is seeking a Chief Risk Officer to lead the Enterprise Risk Management framework across credit, operational, fraud, liquidity and IT risks. The CRO reports to the Risk Oversight Committee and escalates material risks to the Board.

The role maintains independence from revenue units, aligning with BSP governance expectations, and coordinates with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Data Protection to uphold a robust three-lines-of-defense model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field; advanced designation is an advantage.
• 12–15 years of progressive risk management experience, including 5+ years in senior risk roles in banks or BSP-supervised institutions.
• Knowledge across credit, operational, fraud, liquidity and IT/technology risk; depth in at least two areas.
• Board-level risk committee presentation experience and BSP supervisory exposure preferred.
• Must meet BSP Fit and Proper requirements for senior officers.

Responsibilities

• Design and review the ERM framework, risk appetite, and policies for board endorsement.
• Provide independent risk opinions to Risk Oversight Committee, Board, and PCEO on strategic initiatives and major decisions.
• Lead the Operational, Credit, and IT Risk Officers and ensure each risk pillar has a documented methodology and reporting cadence.
• Oversee risk policies across credit, operational, fraud, liquidity, and IT risk programs.
• Design and monitor KRIs across all risk categories and drive mitigation actions.
• Prepare and present periodic risk reports to the Risk Oversight Committee and Board; liaise with BSP as needed.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Data Protection to maintain three-lines-of-defense.
