Job summary

Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corp is seeking an Engineering Superintendent to lead the ramps' engineering efforts, ensuring maintenance, parts availability for emergency repairs, and coordinated ramp repair scheduling.

You will manage field staff involved in ramp and vessel repairs, set work plans, and ensure ramp readiness across the fleet. Applicants should have an engineering degree and licensure, several years in construction, and welding certificates.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil, Naval Architecture or equivalent is mandatory/strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction industry or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Licensed Engineer, Naval or similar, or welding certificates/training.
• Ability to coordinate manpower and allocate ramp repair tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ramp engineering activities and maintenance program.
• Ensure availability of spare parts for emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with ramp repair manpower and schedule work plans.
• Lead field staff during ramp and/or vessel repair tasks as needed.
• Maintain ramp readiness across the fleet with proactive planning.

About the role

This position is responsible for the engineering aspect of the department. The engineering superintendent focuses on the ramps - ensures maintenance, parts availability for emergency repairs, manpower coordination with regards to ramp repairs, sets work schedule and overall plans for ramp readiness. The engineering superintendent also handles the department field staff as needed in ramp and/or vessel repairs.

About you

• Graduate of engineering course preferably Civil, Naval Architect or equivalent

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction industry or equivalent

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office

• Licensed Engineer, Naval or similar types / Certificates in welding jobs/training
