Discovery Primea Condominium Corporation seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical engineering, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and infrastructure maintenance across the premium condominium.

Based in Makati City, this full-time role requires 7–10 years in mechanical engineering with 3–5 in leadership; PE license desired; you will manage budgets, coordinate with contractors, and drive energy efficiency and safety across building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years experience in mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and building automation systems.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Knowledge of Philippine building codes and safety regulations.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Filipino.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all mechanical engineering systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural maintenance operations.
• Lead, supervise and develop the engineering and maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to ensure optimal performance of all building systems.
• Monitor and manage engineering budgets, procurement of materials and equipment, and cost control measures.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of building infrastructure to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Prepare detailed reports on building performance, maintenance activities, and engineering operations for management review.
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate rapid resolution of critical mechanical failures.
• Implement energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability practices to reduce operational costs.

About the role

Discovery Primea Condominium Corporation is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering operations and maintenance teams. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical systems, infrastructure, and engineering functions of our premium condominium property. This role is strategically important to ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of all building systems, whilst maintaining the highest standards of service for our residents.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure

• Proven experience managing building maintenance operations in commercial or residential properties

• Proficiency with maintenance management software and building automation systems

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Knowledge of Philippine building codes and safety regulations

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino
