Job summary

Rurex Fabrication and Trading Co., Inc. is seeking an Engineering Estimator to deliver accurate cost, material, and labor estimates for machine shop and fabrication projects. You will also generate technical drawings and manage digital engineering data and project files.

The role requires CAD proficiency, understanding of fabrication processes, and strong analytical skills. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; ISO procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are welcome; BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Internships or prior experience in machine shop/fabrication estimation is an advantage.
• Proficient in CAD and basic machining, with blueprint interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machine shop and fabrication estimates based on client requirements, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Create, modify, and finalize technical drawings using CAD software.
• Provide updates in project meetings on estimation progress, drawing status, and document control.
• Ensure data confidentiality and secure handling of proprietary designs and client information.
• Support senior engineers to improve drafting skills and estimation accuracy.
• Comply with Rurex Working Procedures (ISO).
• Render other related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Engineering Estimator is responsible for providing accurate cost, material, and labor estimates for machine shop and fabrication projects across the company. This role also involves generating technical drawings and ensuring the organization, safekeeping, and accessibility of all digital engineering data and project files.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare machine shop and fabrication estimates for all branches based on client requirements, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Create, modify, and finalize technical drawings using CAD software for various engineering and fabrication projects.
• Participate in project meetings to provide updates on estimation progress, drawing statuses, and document control.
• Ensure data confidentiality and secure handling of proprietary designs, client information, and internal technical data.
• Continuously improve drafting skills, estimation accuracy, and material knowledge under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Must be able to comply with Rurex Working Procedures (ISO).
• Willing to render other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualification:

1. Education: Must be a college graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
2. Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome. Any internship (OJT) or prior experience in machine shop operations, fabrication, or engineering estimation is an advantage.
3. Knowledge and Skills:
   1. Proficient in drafting and utilizing CAD software for creating technical drawings.
   2. Knowledgeable in basic machining, fabrication processes, and interpreting engineering blueprints.
   3. Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) for accurate costing and digital data safekeeping.
4. Required Certification: A Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) license or technical certifications in CAD/drafting software is an advantage but not strictly required
