Job summary

City of General Trias Doctors Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Licensed Engineer to lead the Engineering & Maintenance team at the hospital in General Trias.

The role involves reading and interpreting building plans and specs, coordinating equipment installations and repairs, and managing materials & costing for job orders. You will supervise maintenance staff, prepare weekly schedules, and ensure workmanship meets safety standards and building regulations, while maintaining accurate records and

Qualifications

• Graduate of 4 year Engineering Course or any allied Engineering/Technology Course.
• Must be a Licensed Engineer.
• Preferably with at least 2 years’ experience in Engineering & Maintenance Operations.
• Flexible, trainable, independent and can do multi-tasking job.

Responsibilities

• Reads, sketches plans, and interprets as-built building plans and specs.
• Requisitions equipment and materials for installations and repairs.
• Checks areas reported for repair or maintenance.
• Lists materials to be used and estimates job order costs.
• Requests and purchases required materials.
• Keeps record and inventory of materials and equipment.
• Gives instructions and assigns maintenance personnel.
• Prepares weekly maintenance schedules.
• Supervises maintenance personnel’s performance.
• Performs spot checks for workmanship, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Checks areas for potential hazards to patients and staff.

• Reads, sketches plans, and interprets as-built building plan and manufacturer’s specifications, requisition of equipment and materials for equipment installations and repairs.
• Checks on areas reported by the department head that needs to repair or maintenance.
• List down and quantify the materials to be used and estimate the cost for the job order received.
• Requesting and purchasing the materials to be used.
• Keeps record and inventory of materials, equipment received and issued.
• Give instructions, specific assignments to the maintenance personnel’s.
• Prepares weekly schedules for maintenance personnel’s.
• Supervises the work performance of maintenance personnel’s.
• Performs spot checking of work environment to ensure that workmanship meet standard and safety and also building regulations are complied with.
• Checks routinely on areas that maybe hazardous to patients and hospital staff.
