Job summary

Polystar General Services Inc. in Olongapo City, Zambales, seeks an Engineer (RME.REE) for our Project Engineering team.

This full-time, on-site role delivers engineering solutions that meet project goals, safety standards and regulatory requirements, supporting operational excellence. Responsibilities include design, planning, site inspections, producing reports and drawings, coordinating with managers, contractors and stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Professional engineering qualification or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Current or eligible Professional Engineer registration.
• 1 year minimum post-qualification experience in project engineering.
• Solid knowledge of design principles, codes, standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential technical challenges.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, drawings and technical documentation required for project implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and performance metrics, reporting status and deviations from the plan.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering staff and project teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation within engineering operations.

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineer (RME.REE) to join our growing Project Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Olongapo City, Zambales. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions that support our project execution and operational excellence. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that all engineering activities align with project objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, whilst contributing to the strategic growth of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines

• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential technical challenges

• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, drawings and technical documentation required for project implementation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery

What we're looking for

• Professional engineering qualification or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline

• Current or eligible registration as a Professional Engineer with the relevant regulatory body

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in project engineering or related field

• Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, codes, standards and best practices

• Proficiency in engineering software and CAD tools

• Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences

• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with local Philippine engineering standards and regulations is advantageous
