Job summary

PeopleStrong in the Philippines is seeking a Mechanical Quality Engineer with at least five years’ experience in quality control and inspection of machined components. The role requires hands‑on measurement skills and knowledge of ASME Sec 9, WPS, PQR, and NDT practices.

The candidate should be an ISO 9001 internal auditor with strong communication and team collaboration abilities, plus familiarity with turbine/generator components is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Control and inspection of machining components.
• Process knowledge of Machining.
• Experience in precision measurement and handling measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR.
• ASNT Level II certification in NDT - VT, UT, MT, PT.
• Experience in Preparation of QAP and Inspection protocol/CTQs.
• Internal auditor in ISO 9001.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of steam turbine and generator components (preferable).
• Knowledge of investigative techniques GOF, RCA, LFF,3H, Pareto analysis.

Responsibilities

• Quality management ISO and NDT quality assurance for machining processes.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR.
• Conduct precision measurements using calibrated instruments.
• Prepare QAP and inspection protocols/CTQs.
• Act as internal ISO 9001 auditor.
• Collaborate with team and communicate effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of turbine/generator components (preferable).
• Apply GOF, RCA, LFF, 3H and Pareto analysis for root-cause identification.
