Job summary

Emerson offers a role as an Engineer I, Procurement in the Philippines where you will support strategic sourcing, eSourcing, contract management, and risk assessment of components. You will analyze data, monitor key metrics, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to reduce costs using internal data and tools.

You will apply your knowledge of mechanical and electrical commodities, and contribute to supplier evaluation and process improvements while ensuring SOPs are current and effective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related fields with a focus on procurement/sourcing.
  • 1–2 years of relevant sourcing or manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities.
  • Familiarity with environmental legislations (e.g., ROHS, REACH).
  • Solid understanding of supply chain concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement systems and tools (ERP, MRP, SRM).

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical skills in generating reports and presentations.
  • Manage supply chain systems and databases.
  • Demonstrate alternate sourcing to source substitute parts to avoid supply disruption.
  • Improve business operations by introducing new processes or by improving current processes.

If you are an Engineer I, Procurement professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this gives you the chance to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities, including eSourcing, contract management, alternate sourcing, and risk assessment of component parts. In this role, you will provide analytics support for short- and long-term projects and monitor key metrics. By working with multi-functional teams, you will identify and develop processes and procedures to reduce costs using internal data collection and analytical tools.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Apply analytical skills in generating reports and presentations.

  • Manage supply chain systems and databases.

  • Demonstrate and effectively apply alternate sourcing skills to source potential substitute parts to avoid supply disruption.

  • Focus on improving the business operation by introducing new innovative processes or by engaging in continuous improvement of current processes or activities.

  • Ensure standard operating procedures are in place and always up to date.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Communications, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or Business-related courses.

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Sourcing or Manufacturing.

  • Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities.

  • Knowledgeable in environmental legislations (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.).

  • Fair degree of understanding in the field of Supply Chain.

  • Basic understanding of procurement systems and tools (ERP, MRP, SRM).
