Job summary

EDC invites engineers to design, develop and implement procedures to drill wells safely and economically, coordinating with drilling and service contractors, compliance teams, geologists and other technical specialists.

You will help minimize costs while ensuring safety and environmental protection, prepare drilling tools and consumables for planned operations, and conduct well reviews with all involved groups to benchmark and improve practices.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and implements procedures to drill wells safely and economically.
• Works closely with the drilling contractor, service contractors, compliance personnel, geologists and other technical specialists.
• Ensures costs are minimized while obtaining information to evaluate formations penetrated, protecting health and safety of workers and the environment.
• Develops and administers drilling contracts and prepares drilling tools and consumables for planned operations to avoid delays.
• Conducts a Well Review with involved groups, analyzes best practices, and recommends improvements for future wells.

• Work closely with the drilling contractor, service contractors, and compliance personnel, as well as with geologists and other technical specialists.

• Ensures that costs are minimized while getting information to evaluate the formations penetrated, protecting the health and safety of workers and other personnel, and protecting the environment.

• Develops and administers various drilling contracts and prepares all drilling tools and consumables that are programmed to be used to ensure that no unnecessary delays will be encountered during the actual implementation of the drilling operation.

• Conducts a Well Review with all the groups involved in well planning and implementation by gathering all relevant information on best practices and benchmark current practices. Analyze, recommend and implement appropriate practices for future wells to be drilled within the same area.
