Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement procedures to drill wells as safely and economically as possible.
• Work closely with the drilling contractor, service contractors, compliance personnel, geologists and other technical specialists.
• Ensure that costs are minimized while collecting information to evaluate formations penetrated, protecting the health and safety of workers and the environment.
• Develop and administer various drilling contracts and prepare all drilling tools and consumables that are programmed to be used to ensure that no unnecessary delays will be encountered during the actual implementation of the drilling operation.
• Conduct a well review with all the groups involved in well planning and implementation by gathering all relevant information on best practices and benchmarking current practices.
• Analyze, recommend and implement appropriate practices for future wells to be drilled within the same area.
