Job summary

JEBSEN PTC is seeking an Engine Room Management & Maintenance professional responsible for the overhaul and maintenance of the main engine and auxiliary systems. You will lead engine room watchkeeping and emergency response teams, while supervising bunkering operations and fuel/lube oil management.

The role requires ensuring compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW, and SMS safety protocols, and maintaining logs and inventory. Strong leadership and hands-on engineering expertise are essential.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and maintain the main engine, auxiliary engines, boilers, air compressors, and purifiers
• Execute and assign planned maintenance system (PMS) tasks across all mechanical equipment
• Lead engine room watchkeeping duties and emergency response teams
• Supervise engine room bunkering operations and fuel/lube oil management
• Ensure full compliance with MARPOL (Annex I–VI), SOLAS, STCW, and SMS safety protocols
• Maintain oil record books, engine logs, and spare parts inventory reports
