The Electrical Technician - Mechanic is responsible for taking charge of all relatively complicated aspects of preventive maintenance, takes charge of major repairs of electrical/electronic defects on all equipment at Subic Bay International Terminal Corporation (SBITC).
Duties and Responsibilities
Principal duties
- Maintains and repairs all vital and complicated defects of RS and ECH electrical/electronic controls, motors, alternator and starter rewinding, spreader and directional valves.
- Attends to the immediate check-up of electrical components and the reconditioning of different electrical damages.
- Reads and interprets electrical diagrams for accurate reference and work plans.
- Assumes a relatively vital role in the planning and implementation of scheduled electrical reconditioning/rehabilitation of equipments.
- Participates in the pre-planning of RS and ECH preventive maintenance programs focusing on major electrical technical problems.
- Performs electrical repair of parts and components.
Subsidiary Activities
- Prepares and submits a list of spare parts needed for repairs.
Combination Tasks
- Maintains coordination with Mechanics while accomplishing electrical work.
Other duties
- Perform other tasks that the immediate superior may direct from time to time.
Job Specifications/Requirements
- Educational Attainment: Electrical Automotive Course (TESDA), NC2 or has equivalent experience
- Work Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in electrical maintenance of heavy equipment
- Skills: Has special training in electrical maintenance of heavy equipment
