Job summary

Pilmico Foods Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer/Technician to maintain and improve the farm electrical systems across multiple sites. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and Kaizen-driven improvements to ensure continuous production efficiency.

The candidate will work on wiring, circuit analysis, troubleshooting, and equipment integrity, while aligning with 5S and ISO 9001:200 standards to uphold quality and safety on all farm

Qualifications

• Graduate with BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering.
• At least three years of related work experience.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation technology and electrical/electronics circuit design, troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on farm systems and equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and locate causes using test equipment.
• Ensure compliance with 5S activities & ISO 9001:200.
• Participate in Kaizen improvements as part of Quality Department activities.
• Monitor electrical load and ensure safe operation across farms.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Farm electrical system, process controllers and electrical equipment ensuring the efficient running and prolonged service life of the machines and equipment.
2. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
3. Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
4. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
5. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
6. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters/clamp meter tester to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
7. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors and other equipment.
8. Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
9. Stays on-call even during off‑hours and rest days to help maintain and ensure good running condition of all electrical equipment at all times.
10. Attends to electrical repairs and other requirements of other farms (Nucleus, Farm 2, Farm 3, Farm 4 & Farm 5).
11. Compliance with 5'S activities & ISO 9001:200
12. Recommend and suggest improvements "KAIZEN" as part of Department Quality Improvements activities.

Other Tasks

Safety Management

• Monitors Farm electrical load and ensure that electrical usage does not exceed the maximum load threshold.

Equipment Safety

• Conducts routine inspection of electrical equipment in operation, checks equipment operating parameters as prescribed and initiates corrective measures on any abnormality.

Troubleshooting

• Conducts problem solving activities on causes and corrective measures for electrical electronics variances. Solicits the advice of Maintenance Leadman / Site Planner for problems that remain unsolved.

Food Safety

• Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
• Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Tasks

• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering

Experience: Preferably with at least three (3) years work experience in related field
