Job summary

Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation in Capas, Philippines is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Technician to maintain and repair farm electrical systems across multiple farm sites. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, testing, and safety checks to ensure continuous production and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, wiring and circuit testing, KAIZEN improvements, and collaboration with the Maintenance Leadman/Site Planner.

Qualifications

• Graduate with BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering.
• Preferably 3+ years of work experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation technology and electrical/electronics systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on farm electrical systems, processes.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment using test equipment and hand tools; locate and correct faults.
• Inspect systems to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Test continuity of circuits and ensure safety of the electrical system.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Place conduit and pull wires to complete circuits; install grounding leads.
• Remain on-call during off-hours to maintain equipment condition across farms.
• Support KAIZEN improvements as part of department quality initiatives.

Job Description

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Farm electrical system, process

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters/clamp meter tester to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors and other equipment.
• Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Stays on-call even during off-hours and rest days to help maintain and ensure good running condition of all electrical equipment at all times.
• Attends to electrical repairs and other requirements of other farms ( Nucleus, Farm 2, Farm 3, Farm 4 & Farm 5).
• Compliance with 5'S activities & ISO 9001:200
• Recommend and Suggest improvements "KAIZEN" as part of Department Quality Improvements activities.

Other Task

• Safety Management
• Monitors Farm electrical load and ensure that electrical usage does not exceed the maximum load threshold.

• Equipment Safety
• Conducts routine inspection of electrical equipment in operation, checks equipment operating parameters as prescribed and initiates corrective measures on any abnormality.

• Troubleshooting
• Conducts problem solving activities on causes and corrective measures for electrical electronics variances. Solicits the advice of Maintenance Leadman / Site Planner for problems that remain unsolved.

Food Safety

• Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
• Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Tasks

• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering

Experience

• Preferably with at least three (3) years work experience in related field

Licenses

• Working knowledge of instrumentation technology; electrical/electronics circuit design, troubleshooting and repair;
• Knowledge and understanding of Farm technology
• Familiarity with Panel board and other electronic device analysis and troubleshooting
