Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking an Engineer - Maintenance (Reliability - Electrical) to design, develop, test, and oversee maintenance of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control networks to sustain asset health. The role requires applying electrical engineering and reliability principles to improve efficiency, safety, and performance.

The candidate will investigate failures, develop sustainable solutions, and work with maintenance teams to ensure alignment with the maintenance

Qualifications

Electrical engineering degree required.
3 years of experience in the metal & mining industry.
Experience in asset reliability environment.
Licensed Electrical Engineer.
Professional Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and oversee maintenance of electrical systems, instrumentation, power distribution networks, automation and control systems to improve asset health.
Apply reliability engineering principles to improve efficiency, safety, and performance.
Plan and schedule maintenance using CMMS (Pronto Xi) and prioritize resources per maintenance strategy.
Develop technical specifications for HV/LV electrical equipment, motors, VSDs, MCCs, protection relays, and substations.
Conduct risk assessments for mining operations and identify potential risks and impacts.
Assist in developing risk mitigation plans and strategies to address identified risks.
