Job summary

SPX Express in the Philippines is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to design electrical parts of the ASM project, including control systems, electrical protection, CCTV alignment, transformers, switchgear, MCC and cabling.

You will support tendering, review engineering documents, oversee installation and commissioning with the PM team, and establish preventive maintenance programs, training, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer.
• 2–3 years of experience in automated warehouse / manufacturing facility or related electrical engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical parts of the project: ASM control system, ASM electrical system, electrical protection, CCTV considerations, transformers, switchgear, substations, MCC, VFD, cabling, lighting, grounding.
• Support tendering: estimate budgets, evaluate vendor quotations and specifications.
• Support PM team during ASM installation and commissioning; challenge vendor solutions.
• Prepare detailed drawings, ensure quality assurance, calculations and installation methods for the ASM system.
• Review and evaluate electrical documents like load lists, cable lists and single-line diagrams.
• Learn field control logic and electrical distribution systems from vendors.
• Establish preventive maintenance programs, employee training, manpower scheduling, inventory, and compliance programs.
• Oversee maintenance procedures, schedules, work orders, and procurement of spare parts and tools.
• Recommend solutions to increase efficiency, performance, safety, and reliability; ensure maintenance is carried out.
