Job summary

SM Prime Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Assistant Manager to support design reviews, cost estimation, and project coordination for large-scale developments. The role requires licensed electrical engineering credentials and experience in design, construction, and quantity surveying.

On-site work at Two Ecom, MOA Complex, Pasay City is expected. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure compliant, timely, and cost-effective electrical

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer with professional credentials.
• Experience: 4-5 years in design, construction, or development firms.
• 2-3 years in quantity surveying or related cost control roles.
• Proficient CAD/structural analysis tools and reporting software.
• Capable of handling multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design Review & Evaluation: Review electrical and MEPF drawings, schematics, layouts, and specs.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities before project implementation.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with codes and industry standards.
• Project Management & Scheduling: Monitor consultants' deliverables and deadlines.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate design changes to internal teams and contractors.
• Documentation Control: Maintain project files, review results, and QA docs.
• Cost Estimation & Tendering: Lead electrical BOQ preparation and cost plans.
• Commercial Management: Track budgets and perform cost-value reporting.
• Contract Administration: Review contracts and manage commercial risks.
• Variations & Final Accounts: Price changes and assist in final settlements.

POSITION: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSISTANT MANAGER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design Review & Evaluation: Assist the Design Manager in reviewing electrical and MEPF engineering drawings, schematics, layouts, and specifications submitted by external design consultants.
• Value Engineering: Identify potential value engineering and cost-saving opportunities prior to project implementation.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant national building codes, regional safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Project Management & Scheduling: Monitor external consultants' deliverable timelines, flagging compromised deadlines and ensuring complete, timely submissions.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate design changes and action items effectively to internal stakeholders, architects, and contractors.
• Documentation Control: Maintain accurate historical project files, design review results, and quality assurance documentation.

Quantity Surveying:

• Cost Estimation & Tendering: Lead electrical quantity take-offs and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documents, and accurate cost plans.
• Commercial Management: Manage Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing (MEP) project budgets. Track actual project expenses and perform cost-value reporting.
• Contract Administration: Assist with reviewing electrical construction contracts, identify commercial risks, and draft correspondence.
• Variations & Final Accounts: Price and negotiate variations and change orders, and assist in compiling loss and expense claims to secure final accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer
• 4-5 years in a Design Firm / Construction Company / Developer Company
• 2-3 years in Quantity Surveying work
• Proficiency in computer aided design (AutoCAD, SAP2000/STAAD.Pro/ETABS)
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and MS Office for precision reporting.
• Design experience in both horizontal and vertical property development projects
• Able to handle multiple projects and can work with minimal supervision
• Candidates must be willing to work onsite at Two Ecom, MOA Complex, Pasay City.
