We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical design and hands‑on building/construction practices. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing technical submittals, developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for quotations, and utilizing industry-standard design and drafting software. Experience working on United States Government (USG) projects is a highly desirable plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Design & Engineering:
- Develop comprehensive electrical designs and engineering solutions from concept through to the build phase.
- Calculating the total electrical demand (connected load and maximum demand) of a facility to size transformers, generators, and main switchgear.
- Creating the foundational electrical architecture (Single Line Diagram, SLD) of the building, mapping how power flows from the utility grid down to individual breaker panels.
- Cable Sizing & Voltage Drop Analysis to determine the correct cross-sectional area of conductors, ensuring that voltage drop over long distances does not exceed code limits
- Prepare lighting calculations and photometric data report using lighting calculator software to calculate lumen output, ensuring spaces meet lux level requirements defined by standards.
- Designing building-wide ELV Life Safety Systems & fire alarm and detection systems integrated with HVAC overrides (smoke management) and elevator recalls.
- Designing security & ICT pathways, containment, and layouts for CCTV, access control, public address systems, and structured data cabling.
- Develop detailed 2D electrical construction documents, including single-line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, grounding systems, and fire alarm schematics using AutoCAD.
- Create, modify, and manage complex 3D electrical models within Autodesk Revit, including containment runs (cable trays, conduits), switchgear, and plant rooms.
- Clash Detection & Coordination process. Identify, analyze, and resolve spatial conflicts with other disciplines (HVAC, Plumbing, Structural) to ensure a constructible design.
Documentation & Submittals: Prepare, review, and manage detailed technical and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Estimation & Costing: Quantify materials and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to support the procurement and estimation process for competitive quotations.
Collaboration & Review: Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure design integrity is maintained during the building phase.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be a License Electrical Engineer.
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record in both design and build environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). USG Experience (Preferred): Prior experience designing or executing United States Government (USG) projects is a major asset.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, material specifications, and the submittal process.
- Technical Software Proficiency
- Drafting & Modeling: AutoCAD and BIM Revit Design & Simulation: ETAP, Dialux
- Documentation & Data: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), PDF
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Angeles, Pampanga: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
Experience:
- Electrical Design and Build envirnonments: 2 years (Required)
