Job summary

DigiPlus Interactive Corp in Metro Manila is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and oversee retail interior projects, including electrical power, lighting, data cabling and fire alarm systems, with CAD-based drawings and material take-offs. You will coordinate with contractors and the project in-charge, prepare cost estimates and bid documents, and ensure designs meet mall guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering, preferably licensed.
• Computer Literate, CAD skills and electrical design software.
• Highly analytical and good communication skills.
• Minimum 3 years experience in design, development and supervision of retail interior projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and cost estimation techniques.

Job description

• 1. Gathers data through site inspection, mall and other department coordination meetings and leasing kits, researches, and information on design requirements and prepares Electrical, Network and Data designs, specifications, scope of works, cost estimates, equipment schedules and timetables covering electrical power and lighting, auxiliary (telephone and audio-video cabling), fire alarm systems, stand‑by generating sets; sourcing of electrical materials and equipment, accomplishment of electrical bid documents for projects.
• 2. Drafts electrical plans based on designs, specifications, scope of works following design requirements, established standards and mall construction guidelines.
• 3. Takes off quantities and prepares bill of materials, estimates labor costs and prepares overall project cost estimates following estimating guidelines and standards, and prepares bid forms, invitations to bid and other bid documents.
• 4. Attends pre-bid conferences and explains electrical design details to contractors; attends bidding sessions to analyze and verify bids on electrical works as member of the bidding committee, and attends pre-award conference to clarify requirements to contractors.
• 5. Coordination with the contractors and project in-charge and discuss the status of on‑going projects.
• 6. Reviews electrical plans and requirements of lease applicants for food and non‑food spaces within Retail branches.
• 7. Updates electrical materials and supplies price lists

Qualifications:

• 1. Graduate of Electrical Engineering, preferably licensed.
• 2. Computer Literate, particularly in CAD, Electrical Load Design and Estimate, Agile Project Management, Vendor management,
• 3. Highly analytical and good communication skills.
• 4. At least three (3) years experience in design, development and project supervision of development works for building interiors, spaces and fixtures for retail commercial establishments. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and related programs; preparation of material take-off, cost estimates and technical reports
• 5. Physically fit for Office and Construction job site work environment.
