Aggreko plc in Taguig (BGC) is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop project electrical designs and supporting documentation for bids, detailed design phases, and operational projects.

You will perform power system studies, prepare single-line diagrams and layouts using CAD, specify generators and switchgear, review requirements with Sales and clients, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and Aggreko safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years design experience in electrical power systems, power generation, or related environment.
• Registered Electrical Engineer or equivalent is desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical engineering tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform electrical power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, voltage drop).
• Develop electrical designs and project drawings (SLDs, layouts, cables) using CAD software.
• Design and specify power generation packages and electrical equipment (generators, transformers, switchgear, protection, earthing).
• Provide technical support to Sales, clients and project teams; review requirements and conduct site visits.
• Support project execution with documentation, BOMs, testing, commissioning, and as-built docs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with codes and Aggreko safety standards.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as an Electrical Design Engineer, based in BGC, Taguig. The position is responsible for preparation of project specific electrical designs and supporting technical documentation for inclusion in sales bids, detailed design phase and Operational projects.

What you’ll do as an Electrical Design Engineer:

• Perform electrical power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and voltage drop analysis.
• Develop electrical designs and project drawings such as single-line diagrams, layouts, cable routing drawings, and project design documentation using CAD software.
• Design and specify power generation packages and electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection, earthing, cables, and distribution systems.
• Provide technical support to Sales, clients, and project teams by reviewing requirements, conducting site visits, and proposing practical engineering solutions.
• Support project execution through engineering documentation, bills of materials, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and as-built documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, engineering standards, and Aggreko's health, safety, and environmental requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years design experience in an electrical power systems, power generation, energy, utilities or industrial environment.
• Experience with LV/MV systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, protection, cables and earthing is desirable.
• Fluent in English; a second language would be an advantage.

Desired Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong electrical power-system design and computer design skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in electrical engineering tools/software such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP or EasyPower.
• Ability to prepare clear engineering calculations, technical documentation and drawings and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
