Job summary

Aggreko in Manila (BGC, Taguig) is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to prepare project-specific electrical designs and supporting technical documentation for sales bids, detailed design phases and operational projects.

You will perform power system studies, develop drawings (single-line diagrams, layouts, cable routing), specify equipment, support sales and site teams, and ensure compliance with codes and Aggreko's HS&E standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Registered Electrical Engineer or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years' design experience in electrical power systems or related environments.
• Experience with LV/MV systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, protection, cables and earthing is desirable.
• Fluent in English; a second language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical power system studies including load flow and short-circuit analysis.
• Develop electrical designs and project drawings using CAD software.
• Design and specify power generation packages and electrical equipment.
• Provide technical support to Sales, clients, and project teams.
• Support project execution with engineering docs, BOMs, testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams ensuring compliance with codes and HS&E standards.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as an Electrical Design Engineer, based in BGC, Taguig. The position is responsible for preparation of project specific electrical designs and supporting technical documentation for inclusion in sales bids, detailed design phase and Operational projects.

What you'll do as an Electrical Design Engineer:

• Perform electrical power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and voltage drop analysis.
• Develop electrical designs and project drawings such as single-line diagrams, layouts, cable routing drawings, and project design documentation using CAD software.
• Design and specify power generation packages and electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection, earthing, cables, and distribution systems.
• Provide technical support to Sales, clients, and project teams by reviewing requirements, conducting site visits, and proposing practical engineering solutions.
• Support project execution through engineering documentation, bills of materials, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and as-built documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, engineering standards, and Aggreko's health, safety, and environmental requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years design experience in an electrical power systems, power generation, energy, utilities or industrial environment.
• Experience with LV/MV systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, protection, cables and earthing is desirable.
• Fluent in English; a second language would be an advantage.

Desired Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong electrical power-system design and computer design skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in electrical engineering tools/software such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP or EasyPower.
• Ability to prepare clear engineering calculations, technical documentation and drawings and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
