Job Title: EHS & Sustainability Coordinator
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM PH Time (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)
Job Summary
The EHS & Sustainability Coordinator is a data-driven coordination role supporting our client's global Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability programmes. The postholder is responsible for maintaining compliance, supporting ISO management systems, coordinating audits, monitoring training compliance, and collecting, validating and reporting environmental data across the client's global operations.
This role combines health, safety and sustainability responsibilities, with a strong focus on data management, audit readiness, reporting, and the closure of actions arising from inspections, incidents, audits and sustainability initiatives. The position supports the delivery of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and contributes to external reporting requirements including EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi, NHS Carbon Reduction Plans and other customer ESG requests
Job Responsibilities
Health and Safety
- Coordinate weekly safety walkrounds across UK&I sites, ensuring completion, documentation and follow-up of actions.
- Produce weekly and monthly H&S performance reports, tracking findings and corrective actions through to closure.
- Maintain training compliance across all sites, including First Aid, Fire Marshal, Manual Handling, DSE and other mandatory requirements.
- Maintain training matrices and issue reminders for expiring qualifications and refresher training.
- Coordinate internal and external ISO 45001 audits, maintaining audit schedules, evidence logs and corrective action plans.
- Support incident, accident and near-miss reporting and investigations, ensuring actions are recorded and completed.
- Maintain risk assessment registers and monitor review schedules.
- Coordinate EHS committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes and action tracking.
- Track and report EHS KPIs including incidents, near misses, training compliance, audit findings and action closure rates.
- Maintain EHS policies, procedures, records and management system documentation.
- Provide day-to-day EHS support and guidance to employees and managers.
Sustainability
- Collate and validate Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 environmental data from invoices, supplier records and operational systems across global sites.
- Upload environmental and emissions data into the client's carbon accounting platform, ensuring complete and auditable records.
- Chase site leads, suppliers and service providers for missing invoices, consumption data, meter readings and supporting documentation.
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual sustainability reports, dashboards and KPI summaries.
- Support external ESG disclosures including EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi, GRI and customer sustainability questionnaires.
- Maintain sustainability evidence libraries and audit-ready records to support ISO 14001 certification and external assessments.
- Monitor performance against sustainability targets and identify trends, risks and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate packaging and environmental data collection for EPR and PPWR compliance requirements.
- Support supplier ESG assessments and data collection activities through platforms such as NAVEX and Aravo.
- Assist with sustainability communications, awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the preparation of annual sustainability reports and carbon reduction plans.
Qualifications
- Experience in an EHS, Sustainability, ESG or Compliance coordination role.
- Experience maintaining management systems and supporting audits.
- Knowledge of UK & Ireland Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience collecting, validating and reporting data from multiple sources.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs and data analysis.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with global stakeholders.
- ISO 4501 and/or ISO 14001 experience.
- Experience with carbon accounting platforms.
- Working knowledge of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting.
- Experience supporting EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi, GRI or similar ESG frameworks.
- Experience of EPR, PPWR or other environmental compliance programmes.
- Experience within a pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industry environment.
