RHI Magnesita is seeking an EHS Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager for a fully on-site, full-time role. The candidate should bring 10+ years of EHS experience and hold a B.Tech or Diploma in Mech/Electrical, plus qualifications in occupational safety and environmental science.

Proficiency in Hindi and English is essential; multiple languages are a plus. The role involves implementing EHS policies, monitoring emissions and KPIs, and driving safety initiatives across plant operations at multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include B.Tech in Mech/Electrical or Diploma in Mech./Electrical.
• Over 10 years of experience in EHS across industries is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or environmental science.
• Advanced diploma in Industrial Environmental Safety & Health from reputed institutes.
• Fluency in Hindi and English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement EHS policies and monitor CO2 and other emissions.
• Monitor environmental parameters and KPIs for safety and environment.
• Lead safety campaigns and conduct safety committee meetings.
• Organize awareness programs and training for employees.
• Maintain IMS standards ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and conduct audits.

• Additionally diploma from RLI or CLI.
• Advance diploma in Industrial Environmental Safety & Health from any of the reputed institutes.
• Computer Skills
• Fluency in writing and speaking Hindi&English; every additional language will be considered an asset.

About the job

We are currently looking for proactive, action-oriented, and highly motivated Safety Professionals for the locations of Khambalia, Jamshedpur, Rajgangpur, and Katni on a full-time b asis.This position will be based in any of the plants on mutual understanding.

Your tasks will include:

EHS policies implementations:

• CO2 and other emissions monitoring and reporting
• Monitoring of all other environmental parameters
• Creation of sustainability in terms of the environment
• Monitoring & achieving Environmental KPIs
• Monitoring and achieving Safety and Health KPIs
• Implementation of Safety & Health Policies
• Timely reviewing of the EHS Procedures
• Training & Motivation of employees
• Conducting the Safety Committee Meetings and other EHS campaigns
• Organizing the awareness programs
• Reviewing of HIRA & Aspects / Impacts of Environment
• Exabit the leadership qualities and lead with exemplary measures.
• Maintaining & achieving the IMS Standards of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
• Regularly conducting the Audits and highlighting the observations.

Internal interfaces:

• Interface between the employees of the plant and the Regional EHS Head/ Plant Manager
• Interface between HODs and Plant Manager
• Realization of the annual appraisal interviews
• Implementation of training activities and development programs for the employees
• Competence development of the individual.

Management-responsibility:

• The Regional Head for Environmental Health and Safety is directly responsible for the achievement of all KPIs.
• The Regional Head is responsible to develop the EHS activities and create a sustainable environment.
• Development and execution of new policies related to EHS.
• Constantly educate & motivate the employees.
