Private Advertiser is seeking an education counsellor to guide prospective international students from initial consultation through enrolment, offering professional guidance and responsive service.
Responsibilities include assessing qualifications, recommending study destinations, assisting with admissions and visas, and maintaining CRM records. The role also involves coordinating with partner institutions and representing the company at fairs.
The successful candidate will guide prospective students throughout their international education journey—from initial consultation and eligibility assessment to program selection, university applications, and enrolment while delivering exceptional customer service and professional advice.
Conduct student consultations and assess academic qualifications, work experience, career goals, and eligibility.
Recommend suitable study destinations, institutions, and programs based on each student's profile.
Assist students throughout the admissions process, including document preparation, application submission, offer acceptance, and enrolment.
Provide accurate information regarding admission requirements, scholarships, tuition fees, intakes, and student visa processes.
Manage and follow up enquiries, consultations, and applications to achieve enrolment targets.
Maintain accurate student records using CRM and internal reporting systems.
Coordinate with partner institutions and internal admissions teams to ensure smooth application processing.
Participate in education fairs, webinars, marketing campaigns, and student recruitment activities.
Deliver ethical, accurate, and student-centred advice in accordance with company policies.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Communications, Nursing, Psychology, or any related field.
Previous experience in international education, admissions, student recruitment, counselling, sales, or customer service is highly preferred.
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
Goal-oriented with excellent consultation and relationship-building abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, and online communication platforms.
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
International education systems, admissions, and student recruitment for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, and other European/Schengen study destinations.
International student admissions, visa application processes, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and pathway programs.
Experience working with international students, universities, education providers, migration agencies, or education consultancies.
The following will be considered a major advantage:
Knowledge of US higher education admissions, F-1 student applications, and related education pathways.
Knowledge of healthcare or nursing education pathways, including NCLEX-RN, CGFNS credential evaluation processes, and international nursing applications.
