Job summary

Unknown is seeking an experienced Shopify SEO Specialist to optimize an ecommerce site for search visibility, AI-driven results, and conversions. You will handle product/category content, technical SEO, and AI search optimization across a catalog of 300+ SKUs, ensuring strong crawlability and fast performance.

The role requires hands-on Shopify SEO experience, knowledge of modern SEO practices, and the ability to produce scalable, LOE-friendly roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Proven Shopify SEO experience for ecommerce websites (Shopify platform).
• Solid understanding of site structure, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience implementing schema markup (Product, Review, FAQ).
• Knowledge of AI search optimization (AEO) and AI-driven content tactics.
• Experience refining product/category page content for SEO and conversions.

Responsibilities

This role spans product and category page optimization, technical SEO, and emerging AI search optimization (AEO) across a large product catalog. The right fit has hands-on Shopify SEO experience and keeps up with modern search trends, including AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Google AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Rewrite and refine product titles, descriptions, and page structure for search performance
• Reshape product content into scannable sections with clear benefits, use cases, and FAQs
• Resolve technical SEO issues, including duplicate URL problems between collections and products
• Strengthen site structure, crawlability, and indexing setup, including sitemaps
• Boost Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile performance
• Implement schema markup, including Product, Review, and FAQ schema
• Build out internal linking across products, categories, and content guides
• Add keyword-targeted, SEO-rich content to category and collection pages
• Structure pages for AI search visibility, including clear definitions, FAQs, and comparison content
• Develop and carry out a scalable SEO roadmap across a large product catalog (300+ SKUs)
• Spot quick wins and high-impact optimization opportunities
• Research and suggest commercial and long-tail keyword opportunities
• Tailor content for conversational and AI-driven search queries
