Job summary

Amazon DynamoDB is seeking an engineering leader to manage a high-performing team building a mission-critical NoSQL database service. You will own delivery of scalable, highly available systems, coach engineers, and drive cross-team initiatives in a fast-moving cloud environment.

You should excel in people management, Agile product delivery, and partnering with product and program teams to define roadmaps and ensure operational excellence across DynamoDB.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• Knowledge of lifecycle practices for software/hardware/networks, including code reviews and source control.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience communicating with users, technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements and design features.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to build reliable, scalable distributed systems.
• Define and implement product roadmaps using Agile methodologies.
• Recruit, mentor and coach engineers to improve performance.
• Collaborate with product and program management to align on strategy.
• Ensure system availability, metrics, monitoring, and live-site operations.
