Private Advertiser is seeking a Duty Engineer to oversee day-to-day maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment, and infrastructure in Batangas. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of MEP and HVAC systems, while ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.
You will respond to guest requests, coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments, and assist with renovations. A strong focus on service excellence and accurate reporting will be essential.
The Duty Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are in optimal working condition. This position entails day-to-day engineering operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The Duty Engineer is also responsible for responding to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring service excellence and compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and hotel policies.
Respond immediately to guest concerns and work orders and ensure that work is done as expected.
Check and inspect assigned areas, accomplish a checklist, and report to the Chief Engineer for actions.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings.
Conduct regular room checks and coordinate with housekeeping personnel for repairs and replacements of fixtures, appliances, the air conditioning unit, lighting, etc., and ensure that electrical and mechanical equipment are in good working condition
Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Security) to address maintenance concerns without disrupting hotel operations.
Maintain a daily hand-over log and update the Engineering shift report for seamless transitions between shifts.
